    Default GE Profilw Dishwasher

Bought this 2 years ago and installed it today because we were waiting for new kitchen.
Stared it up this afternoon and watched it for 20 min to make sure there was no leaks.
went out for a 2 ours came home still running. Power light flashes alone sometimes then one time every light on pad was lit up. Power light flashes when door is closed and washer seems like it keeps restarting.
this is very frustrating ,what's going on with my 2 year old new dishwasher.

    Hi,

    A copy:

    Hi,

Sounds like water is siphoning out after it fills and runs a little while.

You need to make sure your dishwasher drain hose has a loop in it before it connects to the garbage disposal or sink plumbing or it will siphon out.

You can see how it has to loop in Fig 1, Fig 1a, Fig 2 here:

Thanks for the reply Jake, the drain hose goes into next cabinet bottom and angles up to just under the counter.
then travels about 6' and drops down to "T" on drain. is this ok, that's how the old dishwasher was hooked up.

Is that drops 6 feet down? If yes, the long drop -could- pull or siphon the water out.
What happens if you manually open the door and restart a cycle? Maybe baby sit a short cycle.

No it doesnt drop below the DW it goes directly up to top of cabinet runs along underside
of counter then dropds down into "T"
I had the breaker off all day yesterday to stop it from beeping all day, this morning turned breaker on and power button is flashing and normal wash button is lit up. Tried pushing power button and none of them work.
When i close the door it sounds like something is running and power button still flashing.
    WTF

The flashing lights must be a fault code of some sort....but GE doesn't put this info online....only thing I could find was a mini-manual.

I will put this up when I get home from work, forum says too large.

Thanks Jeff, i actually took DW out and looked around for loose wires and found this manual shoved up underneath.
Little confusing on the way they say to test with the 7 Button test matrix.
Mine only has 6 buttons including up and down arrows which i presume is the 5L 6L buttons
    Left to right i have.
Up down arrows - Delay - Temp Boost - Heat Dry - Start/Delay
To me i have 6 buttons.
    So is 5L 6L up/down arrows
    4L Delay
    3L Temp Boost
    1L Heat Dry
They say 2L is not used for test mode.

Pulled dw out checked underneath no loose wires or connectors.
Trying it while it's pulled out ,drain hose on floor and looped up over sink.
What is the normal run time between cycles in normal
under status Smart Dispense there's 3 lights Low Detergent Sanitized and Clean.
First time I started it lit up on low detergent since it is empty, now it doesn't lite up.
Also should the clean light be lit when cycle is over?
