Tub ring

Frigidaire model - FWS445RFS2

How important is the ruuber seal/gasket on this machine. I like to remove the rings and clean them on the used ones I deal with. The rubber came apart on this one. One of those things I can't buy seperately, have to buy the whole ring.

Is there something that could be used in its place?

Are other makes like this in regard to having to buy whole units when you only need a part?

Very. Water leaks when the gasket is ripped, torn or dried out.

Only comes with the tank cover.
