Frigidaire Front Load Washer Problem

I am having a problem with my Frigidaire Model LTF53OFSO (Model:XC72115394) front load washing machine. When I close the door the lock light should but does not come on. If I press on the left side of the washer frame housing, the light will come on and the washer will work. It may work through 3/4 of its cycle; the light goes out and the washer stops. I will press again or insert something on the left side that will cause pressure on the left exterior housing, and it will continue through its cycle.

I did not remove the lock mechanism for the door or front panel to check anything at this point. In addition, how would I remove the front panel to give me a better view of what is occurring? Thank you for any information that you can send my way. Thanks again, John

I couldn't find a safety switch on the dispenser drawer on the parts breakdown. So I am not sure if the left side is just a coincidence or not. This does sounds like a bad door switch issue....which is common.

You don't want to remove the front panal!....see video above to R&R the switch.
