Another weird sounding appliance. Don't know what is going on.
Can't find the model number.
Frigidaire washer
So far: 1005865, 131685300 , 131986700
Need to know how to remove the agitator. I believe this to be a Maytag built washer.

Yeah, when I ran one of the numbers I listed, there were a few brands mentioned but no Maytag. So, I figured I was wrong on that. The front panel made me think of a Maytag.
Anyway, I did find where I was correct in assuming the trunion block had to come off. I had started removing the screws in the bottom of the tub and decided to wait and check out removing that.
Sounds like maybe something is between the tub and basket. Hoping it is not the transmission. Belongs to a neighbor.
Called myself looking in all the places for the model and serial number. Must have missed it somewhere.
Thanks

The front panel made me think of a Maytag.
The front access with screws at the bottom is similier.

Small nail had gotten through one of the holes in the inner tub and the head was slightly embedded in the plastic. :o

Have actually seen one with a nail in the wash basket hole and during the spin the nail scraped through the outer holding tank...actually cut it all the way around.

Funny you should mention that. I told the guy and my wife he was lucky the whole bottom was not cut out of the outer tub.
