Ok, our washer is acting up at times. For some reason it does not stop spinning, and want shut off unless you unplug it. After unplugging it, and letting it sit for a day, it seems the timing resets, and the machine operates normally. This has happen two times in one year. Does the timer need to be replaced??

Hi all,

WJSR2070B2WW

A GE plastic tub washer.

For some reason it does not stop spinning, and want shut off unless you unplug it. After unplugging it, and letting it sit for a day, it seems the timing resets, and the machine operates normally

Have seen the timer motor get extremly hot to the touch and the timer sticks.

Does the timer need to be replaced??

That is very possible!
