kenmore model 110.5072011 wont drain

Need help. My son has a kenmore model 110.5072011, it was in storage for a while. When we hooked it up, it would not drain the water out of the tub. Switch seems to be fine, no clogs either. The pump seemed to be making an odd sound. I took it off, to make sure nothing was clogging it - powered it up while it was off - it did spin. I put it all back together. Still will not drain. Any ideas? Think the pump is bad?

If nothing is clogging the drain system, certainly sounds like a sour drain pump...
