Ice maker testing

Ice maker - 95098-1 on a Magic Chef model gt21y8fv

L H 72 ohms?
L M 4400 ohms?
N V 150-350 ohms?
T L with no ice 78 ohms?

Manual harvest by jumping T to H?

I found a cork in the ice maker mold and suspect the motor is shot as it did not ohm anywhere near 4400.Any chance they have the same motor? Figuring it got hung up with the cork and burned out.

Have some more ice makers but not the same as this one. Same number of prongs on the plug but a little difference in spacing. Any chance they have the same motors?

Most module style ones will be the same/similier.

Thanks Jeff. I really should learn a little about ice makers, never had much interest in them.

Is that an inkine fuse or thermistor in the red/line wire in the icemaker harness? Not getting any continuity through it with the meter set to sound.

The black slug is an inline thermal fuse.

Thanks, Jeff. What would cause it to blow? I found what looked like a cork from a wine bottle in the ice mold. Could this have caused it? I think the ice maker is toast also.

Thermal fuse will let go from heat.....got stuck with the heater on, got jammed and mold heater tripped the fuse....
