Can anyone date this thing? I have tried several times and am told the serial num,ber is not up to snuff. I suspect late 50's to late mid to late 60's.
Kenmore dryer
Model - 110.6818600w00
Serial - 08758 m730
The leads on it are bl wh and wh.
Reminds me of the cars that had the hidden headlights.

I got 110.6818600 to work for me....but date finders won't work on stuff that old....probably have to call Sears to find out when it was made.

That model number worked for me, but the serial number was no good and I was just curious as to how old it is. It is going to the scrap yard.

May be a patent date on the wiring diagram.

Got a couple of the numbers off that I could read. They date back to 1952. Not sure what that says about the unit itself. The one image I saw as a rear bulkhead. It did not look the same as this one.
This thing has a thermostat on the blower housing with what looks like a capillary tube going back to the temp switch. Reminds me of an oven thermostat. I have no way of knowing if it is good.
Kind of thought of checking the vintage parts market out.

I started appliance repairs in 1980 and those where approx 15-20 years old then.....dryer must be from the early 60's.

Judging by the panel that slides over the controls, I agree somewhere in the 60's.
