Kenmore 110. series cant remove side panels

Watched multiple videos of how to remove side panels on Kenmore 110. series.
Need to replace lid switch. Can anyone help? I have seen the videos and they just pop them off. I am afraid of breaking but maybe I just need to apply more pressure?:(

You mean the cabinet on a direct drive style?...the side panals don't come off separately.

so how do I open the cabinet so I can replace the lid switch? I have watched the videos that say to pop it open with a putty knife on the ends or remove the panels and their are 2 screws hidden on both ends.
I cant seem to get any thing to pop open.Thank you for help!
