Frigidaire brake?

This thing does the indexing thing while agitating. Normal?
It also coasts to a stop at the end of spin. Brake?

Is this indexing and coasting to a top an indication of a brake problem, something more involved?

Normal yes.

This has no brake, coasts to a stop but has a lid lock so you can't open it until the lid lock releases.

I doubt I will ever learn the different characteristics of half the machines I come across. Always learning something new.
