Is this wax motor supposed to just unplug from the lid/lock switch?

I had started to take the switch apart but thought better.

Wax motor isn't "really" suppose to come apart from the lock assembly....but yes you have to take the switch/lock assembly apart to R&R the wax motor.

In this case, I'm glad I didn't because it was unnecessary this time. I was scared I would not be able to get the switch together again. Did that once with a Cabrio.

Thanks for the info.

Probably one of the worst lid lock switches on the market!

I did watch one guy online take one apart like the Frigidaire I have. He bent the contact blade enough to make it work until his new part came in.

I started in mine twice, but each time I saw a little spring inside, I backed off thinking it was going to fly to pieces. :)
