Anything in the model number to tell what capacity an appliance like a washer or dryer is rated.

Front loader I have has no load size settings on it, and it seems it really has a small door and drum.

Not normally no.

The one with the shipping bolt issue is likely a 2.7 cuft with the portal style door opening.

That is the one. It has the portal style door like the bigger ones.

So, I'm guessing this is what some call apartment size.

Thanks.

Measure depth and radius of tub or drum in inches.

Cubic feet = depth x 3.14 x radius? ? 1728

Not really...apt size washer is more like 2 cuft or less.
A good word is compact as apt size is smaller.

Appears to be 3.07 cubic feet. Compact?

Would be a smaller standard size...

Some washer sizes...these are from a few years ago...

Maytag Atlantis - 3.2 cu.ft. Maytag Dependable - 2.9 cu.ft. Performa by Maytag - 3.3 cu.ft. Maytag Neptune - 3.3 cu.ft. Magic Chef - 3.3 cu.ft. GE ( Hotpoint, Moffat, McClary ) has 2 sizes, Extra large - 2.7 cu.ft and Super - 3.2 cu.ft. Frigidaire ( front loader ) 3.1 cu.ft. Amana calls both sizes, super capacity - 3.2 cu.ft & 3.3 cu.ft. Frigidaire top load washers, 2.7 cu.ft extra large & 3.0 cu.ft super capacity. Frigidaire front load washers are 3.1 cuft.

Extra large - 2.7 cu.ft and Super - 3.2 cu.ft ?????

Extra large and Super?? Mine is around 3.07, and everyone so far complains about it being too little. The door makes it look really small.

Not sure what to tell people.
What would you say this one is if my figures are correct 3.07 Frigidaire?

I'll google the model number and see if I find something.

Thanks.

Figure this out.....Frigidaire made these for GE, they made GE advertise it is 2.7 cuft.....but the Frigidaire version ( exact same ) was magically 3.1 cuft....it was in how they measured capacity.

Not sure what to tell people.

It is better than a regular top load, no agitator. Still saves on water, energy and soap.

It is history. Sold it today. Glad to see it go. I had it for several weeks.
