On stove doors that have the ..vent holes (?) going across the top, very much heat come out there? Reason I ask is I have one with a missing handle that screwed onto the sides at the top. I replaced it with one of the plastic like handles and screwed it to the top through a couple of the holes in the metal. I did drill a line of holes in this handle going across the top over some of the holes that were already there to let heat out if there is very much heat that vents through the top of the door.

Have a picture of your job?

Bottom of the door lets air in, air goes through the door and comes out the top, this helps to keep the outer panal cooler by venting air through the door.

Don't think I have a pic of that job. Sold it yesterday after letting the oven heat for a while and checking for heat buildup at the handle/top. Felt okay.
