I think my drain pump/plug is clogged on my Kenmore 800 series clothes washer

When the wash is done with its cycle there is a couple of inches of water left in the machine that does not drain. I am having difficulty getting the back panel off and was curious if there was any tricks ? My wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant and is ready for this problem to be fixed yesterday ! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The model number is 29832800 if that is of help. Please let me know if there is any more info anyone needs to help. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kinked hose, bad pump, something caught between the tanks ( peek through the holes with a flash light ), something in the pump hose.

This is one of those load sensing machines. It is more likely that you have a faulty load sense switch. This is your front panel fabric softener switch. A common failure of these switches causes the washer to add water at the end of the final spin cycle. Monitor the washer at the end of the final spin to see if this is what's happening.

this is what is happening ... it adds water at the final part of the spin cycle...... thank you. So you are fairly confident this switch will fix that problem?
