Splutch assembly and actuator, any way to tell if either of these are bad?

This thing will act like it wants to spin then stop. Sometimes it does not want to turn off, and has to be unplugged. Even when it agitates, it does not seem to do anything to the clothes. It has the clear lid so the load can be seen. The clothes do not seem to turn under and barely move with the agitator moving under them.

Looks like I have another Cabrio here just with a different name on it. Am I lucky or what?? What, I guess.
Anyway, looks like what I am calling the splutch assembly is listed as cams on both the Maytag and the Cabrio.

Checked the codes yet.....see tech sheet.....

So far very few issues with the splutch, much more issues with the shifter/actuator.

Have not checked the codes yet. I had tried to put it in diagnostic mode with no luck. Hope to get around trying again today or tomorrow.

Thanks for the link.

So far I can't seem to get it to go into test mode. Maybe I am not giving it enough time to do what it is supposed to do. Anyway, some things have come up, and it may be a few days before I get back to it.

P.S. According to the manual, these have DC volt components. Am I right ?

Both.
The shift actuator has both DC and AC to it.
