I have a GE (profile?). It's at least 10 years old model #JKP26GT1BB (double wall oven).
I ran the self clean cycle. It gave an F2 error. I looked that up, it seems that the cooling fan for the board may be the culprit on this.
It has been 2 days since this started and the door won't unlock. I have:
- cut power at the breaker for ~15 min, restored power... still locked
- started a self clean cycle, let it run for ~ 15 min, canceled and let cool several hours... still locked
My conclusion is that the lock is shot, however I can't figure out how to get it open. On some ovens I see the motor to lock the door is in the rear, which is easily accessible. But my reading of the schematics here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-ge-jkp26gt1bb.html suggest I have a different kind of lock assembly.
I am hoping someone has experience this before and knows how to get the door unlocked...and I promise I'll never self clean again!
