Today the unit stopped cooling. Both fans are working and compressor is cold to the touch, Clean coils, no ice build up.
Any idea's where to start looking?

Hi,

LGHC2342LFO

Lat digit will be an 0 ( zero ).

Power to the compressor, no power to the compressor tested with a volt meter....gotta see why is it cool and not running. Power to the compressor and no go = compressor or start relay/over load issue. No power and a control/board is likely the issue.

No pic.

Thanks Jeff for your reply,

I do have power to the inverter on the compressor. I checked the red and black double plug both sides. Black=124v, Red=106v and one purple=124v.

I do have power to the inverter on the compressor

I usually carry a used/good inverter to try as that is as far as testing will get us.....more often the compressor kills the inverter and we replace the compressor and inverter together.
The inverter can be tried first as this company will refund the part cost if it does not work.

I ordered the inverter today after my wife told me about the power surges (On & off) that happened Thursday nite. We had about 6 in about 1 min. I think that is what took out the inverter. The inverter is off and I could test the power coming out of the inverter which showed no power coming out to the compressor. When I put the new part on I will post the results.

Thanks for all of your help.

Jeff,
Replaced the new part and I still do not have any power to the plug for the compressor. I do have 124v power going into the converter on the purple, and black but only 105v on the red. Should all be 124v? What is the voltage on the plug for the compressor suppose to be coming out?

I think I found out that the current to the compressor is DC not AC. If this is the case the compressor is shot.
