I have a Kenmore stack-able Model 417.90862990
the washer will fill up and once it fills up it stops running all together. I cant get ti to work at all. I let it set about 20 minutes and i can advance it to the spin cycle and it will drain.

Hi,
the washer will fill up and once it fills up it stops running all together
When the water stops filling does the timer start to move/advance?
I let it set about 20 minutes and i can advance it to the spin cycle and it will drain.
The washer must sit a while before running?...first, second, third, any load?

No the timer doesn't advance
Its like there is no electricity. I can move it froward to any spot on the dial and it wont operate
Here's the thing now....I have been able to do 2 loads now with no issues

No the timer doesn't advance
Water level control ( pressure switch ) is responsible for shutting off the power to the fill valve and redirecting the power to the timer to start the washer.....that and it's wiring should be checked.

Lid switch is also a common trouble maker for shutting off the washer.

Motor does have a built in safety/thermal switch that can/will shut off the motor and it needs cooling down time to reset...but that usually happens after a load or two once the motor gets good and hot.
