I have a Whirlpool washer, wtw6800ww1, 4 yrs old that doesn't rinse. When its supposed to be rinsing I can hear the washer filling up with water but I see almost nothing coming out. When it drains the normal amount of water comes out the drain. I also noticed the carpets were wet around the bottom of the washer, checked underneath and didn't see any obvious leaks. It has been making noise for some time now on the spin cycle, like a loud bearing noise. I'm not familiar with washers or what to look at but I'm reasonably handy and would like to fix myself if possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Nick

Hi,

Coming out where?...into the machine, down the drain?

When it drains the normal amount of water comes out the drain.

Other than the rinse you mean?

It has been making noise for some time now on the spin cycle, like a loud bearing noise.

A roaring like noise? Gets faster/noisier with the spin speed?
That can be the kiss of death on this type of washer...bearings are built into the outer tank...

...wonder if water is weeping down through the seals into the bearings and onto the floor!?!

When its supposed to be rinsing I hear the machine filling up with water but see barely anything actually coming out. But it still drains the normal amount of water. The water just doesn't seem to actually come out on the clothes. There was a small amount on the floor around the washer, carpets were a little wet, not sure if it was over some time now. And its exactly that roaring noise you've described, bearings. I'm thinking it might have just worn itself out. Nick

May or may not help but I saw a test for water level and recalculation...
