GE Monogram Fridge - ice/water dispenser problem

Hey all, the dispenser on my ice/water maker is not working, ie, if not locked, it will continually run and dispense whatever is selected, ice or water. So I am under the assumption that the solenoid has gone bad. On one of these forums, I figured out how to get to the ice-maker from the front. Remove the handle, then the stainless door, then it says to remove the glass and computer dispenser panel. It says to slide it out, but I can't seem to figure out which way to slide it, and at $441 a pop for the panel, I'm not willing to press too hard. I'm hoping someone will know how to do it, and if there are any suggestions as to if it might be the solenoid or something else, Please!!!! let me know. Thanks!!! Kinda sounds more like a micro-switch might be stuck/sticking.

Thanks Jeff, well, it may be the switch, but I followed the same instructions that you found for how to get into the door, and I'm having a problem still. I can easily get the door handle off, the stainless panel off and get to the control panel area, but I can't slide the glass panel/computer panel out of the door. I don't want to break it, but I can't replace anything until I can get behind it. Any suggestions anyone? I'm stuck!

Grasp dispenser collar on each side at the bottom
and pull forward until it snaps out of the door.
Remove one screw below the dispenser control.
Remove the glass control panel by pushing in and
up at the bottom of the board. Unplug the three
connectors.

Greetings, I have a similar problem. My refrigerator model # ZISS420DRDS. Suddenly the dispenser started shooting out ice and would not stop. I hit the water button, but it will keep shooting water and will not stop until freezer door is opened. Finally I hit the circuit breaker for few minutes and powered cycled the refrigerator. Everything is fine now, but not sure when it will happen again and possibly flood our kitchen. This I believe has occurred second time in last 12 months. I have searched online and not found any conclusive answer as to what will actually fix this. Nobody replies bothers to reply in the end to say what actually solved the problem. Anyways any insight will be helpful. So do I need to replace the dispenser solenoid or dispenser micro-switch as shown above or Dispenser circuit board or refrigerator main control board ?

Given those choices.....the easiest and most likely one for me would be the micro switch, if it sticks the dispensor will stay on.
