Kenmore Washer 110.14102300

I have a Kenmore washer model 110.14102300 and it will not spin out clothes consistently. The lid switch and clutch are in good order. When you grab the drum to spin it, there is some hesitation in it. When you bypass the lid switch you can help get the drum to spin and it starts out very loopy and then gradually picks up speed, But don't feel it reaches maximum speed. When I tipped washer to inspect clutch found some oil residue on around on the the bottom of the washer. Any Ideas???

Hi,

No spin and poor/slow spin have some common trouble makers....but for a slow/poor spin we see many weak clutches, some ground out drive block and the odd item of clothing caught between the tanks. Can peek through the drum holes with a flash light to see for any clothing, can visually check the drive clock and both are ok we normally replace the clutch assembly. A little oil or grease on the clutch can make the spin worse.
