hello, i have a kitchen side by side kitchen refr. # ksra221. The icemaker isnt working. its the type that sits sideway, no arm.
i remove it and tested the t and h with a jumper. The motor went around and i could hear the heater heating. i tested the v and L and water came out.
The light above the beam is blinking two blinks. If i block the beam when the motor is moving, it stops.
Now what?
Thanks for your time,
Joe

Hi,

The light above the beam is blinking two blinks

That would seem to be bad, a copy:

Step#1: Open the freezer and view the status led

(STATUS LED)

2 BLINKS FOLLOWED BY 1 SEC. DELAY (REPEATED)

POSSIBLE CAUSES: The flapper door on the emitter is blocking the beam or the optics are faulty.

Step#2: Press the emitter flapper to unblock the optics beam

(STATUS LED)

2 BLINKS FOLLOWED BY 1 SEC. DELAY (REPEATED)

POSSIBLE CAUSES: The optics are faulty. Replace the emitter and receiver boards.

If the LED is on steady: The optics are working properly.

ksra221

Too short, appears to be part of a full model# and that 1 may be an I (eye).
