Two part numbers - 12345 and 12345A or maybe 1234A5
What is the A, place of manufacturing?
Same part, right?

I recently took a motor off of a GE and installed it on a Hotpoint. The number and placement of pins at the plug were the same, and the wire colors were the same. Only difference in the number on the motor was one had a letter.

Most would certainly be similier/same....when a number or letter is added usually means an change of some sort was made....something taken away, something added, repairing an earlier issue/problem.

So, would you think timers with the numbers 8299781 and 8299781C would interchange?
Hmm, maybe I can go to whirlpool site and find the answer to that if you do not know.
