I have a GE wjre5550k1ww washer. Put a new light fixture in our laundry room today and turned the breaker off in the process. Afterwards the wife wanted to run a load through the washer. Now all of the sudden the spin, and agitate will not function. The LED on the motor blinks on for 1 second an off for 1 second. I did the reset by unplugging it, waiting 2 min, and open close the door 6 times, and still no spin or agitate. Light still blinked on/off 1 sec each, also blinked the same wen put in spin cycle. I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Any help would be great, Thanks.

Hi,
A copy:
If the self-diagnostics haven’t detected a problem, the light will flash in one-second intervals or .5 second intervals. Note that when an error code is displayed, the light will flash the code and then be off for the remainder of the six seconds.
1 flash - This means that the tub took more than 25 seconds to stop. This code will shut down the motor so this code must be cleared for the washer to operate. Clear the code as described below. Once the error code is cleared, start a spin cycle and wait for the tub to reach full speed. Then open the lid, if the tub takes over 25 seconds to stop or if the same code reoccurs, replace the motor.
To clear the error code, turn the washer off. Then disconnect power for about 20 seconds. Next, reconnect power then open and close the lid five or more times within 12 seconds in the first 30 seconds of power-up.

It's more eliminate others things...
Once the error code is cleared, start a spin cycle and wait for the tub to reach full speed. Then open the lid, if the tub takes over 25 seconds to stop or if the same code reoccurs, replace the motor.

I picked up a new motor today, and still no spin or agitate. Any other suggestions? I am at a loss with this thing.

the light on the motor blink on/of 1 second each
No spaces between the light blinks?....suppose to count the blicks and has a pause inbetween.

the light blinks on for a second and off for a second, no pauses constant on/off. It does this when the washer is off or running, the sequence stays the same.

If the light isn’t blinking check the fuse and if it is bad replace it. If the light isn’t blinking and the fuse isn’t blown replace the motor.
If the light is red or your motor has the flap shown in the top picture your model doesn’t have the fuse.

A friend of my in-laws who is in appliance repair, said to replace the control board, that flipping the breaker may have surged it. I ordered on Friday, so I will see if this fixes it.

the led on the motor is blinking normal, he looked at it and suggested trying the control board first.

no luck with the control board. Still no spin or agitate. I don't understand it. Everything work great until I turned the breaker off.

UPDATE,
Turns out that GE sent me the wrong motor. The correct motor was delivered a little while ago, and all is good now. I have to give Amanda at GE credit. She sent me a control board free of charge, and sold me a new motor (updated model with the red light) for a discounted $90. She kept in contact with me via email, and was very helpful.

Hi,
No model# posted...but I found...
3 flashes - This is a software problem - Clear the code and if problem still exist replace the motor.
To clear the error code, turn the washer off. Then disconnect power for about 20 seconds. Next, reconnect power then open and close the lid five or more times within 12 seconds in the first 30 seconds of power-up.
Note that after you clear the code the washer may go back to work. This may be temporary and sometimes it is a permanent repair. I recommend clearing the code and if the code reoccurs replace the part suggested.
