Jeff, familiar with these washers?

Got one that would not spin.

It is pretty nasty. I expect maybe a door switch or clogged pump and/or diverter valve?

I really have now idea how to get the control panel off or anything.

I can tilt it and get to the pump and diverter valve.

What makes this thing agitate and spin? Is it just an electrical motor with forward and reverse? It is my understanding there are no gears involved.

The guy I got it from said it would not spin. I did not press him on whether it pumped the water. I don't much think it did as there is still a little water seeping from the pump or the valve I think.
