Runs, but was producing no heat most of the time and now there is no heat at all. Tried all heat settings.

I tested high limit thermostat, operating themostat, thermal fuse: all tested closed.

I tested the timer switch and found the following differences when compared to diagram:

TIMED-REGULAR: BK-BU=closed, BU-V=closed
TIMED-REGULAR: T-W=open
TIMED-SOFT/LOW HEAT: T-W=open

Replace timer switch?

<edit> I think I just found in error in my testing. Does the buzzer have an affect on the above results? Looks like it might from the diagram. Mine was off during testing.

Hi,

Sears site is down, this is a gas dryer?

Is the ignitor coming on? Heating once or twice and then stop heating has often been the coils on the gas valve....but we generally start with "is the ignitor coming on or not" as the best place to start.

Ignore the buzzer for now.

Yep, gas dryer.

Checked. Continuity on each of the 2 coils.
Continuity on the igniter and radiant sensor.
I can see the igniter working by peering through the back of the unit. Igniter kicks on, heat comes on for first cycle and then stops. Igniter cycles again, but no heat.

Problem - Gas flame comes on first few times then quits and igniter keeps cycling on and off but never lets the gas go.

Answer ( most common ) - Replace the coils on the Gas Valve.

375 Gas burner valve solenoids. Kit contains both the two wire and three wire solenoids (http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=153&N=3479)

The coils on the gas valve are very bad for working once or twice and then quitting. Once cooled down they will ohm ok, time to ohm them is when the heat quits and the ignitor is going on and off with no flame.
