Noise in refrig and door problem

Have an Amana refrig. Model# DRS2662AW and Serial# PDRS2662AWD

Makes a gurgling noise sometimes when you close the freezer door only. Almost like water is trapped in a drain line and closing the door forces air out thru the line.

Then I also that sometimes the refirg door is hard to open. Over a couple of weeks the whole refirg ends up a few inches from the wall. So every couple of weeks just push it back. But had it for years and never had this problem. Gasket is clean and don't think its sticking.
Acts like there is some sort of air lock or suction in the refrig section that makes it hard to open sometimes.

Does any of this make sense?
Is there maybe some type of air valve in a refrig that could be bad?

Air tight cabinet and the air the door pushes inward when the door closes is flowing out the drain hose creating the gurgling noise. Sometimes the manufacture added a loop to the drain hose to trap water and sometimes they had small rubber flapper valve on the hose end to help to trap some water to prevent the air from passing back and forth.


Acts like there is some sort of air lock or suction in the refrig section that makes it hard to open sometimes

This often occurs when the door is opened and warm room air enters the refrigerator and the warm air meeting the cold air creates a vacuum and makes the door difficult to open until that warm air is cooled down. Open the door, close the door and then the vacuum occurs and makes opening the door right away difficult. That is what most people want with the refrigerator, a good closing door. Check the door closure ( on the lower hinge ) to make sure it is not broken/cracked causing the door to be difficult to open. Can try taping a small piece of a straw on the cabinet edge ( where the gasket touches ) near the top of the cabinet to see if this air break will help with the opening of the door.


Over a couple of weeks the whole refirg ends up a few inches from the wall.

A small rubber door stop pushed under the front of the refrigerator can help to hold the refrigerator in place.

Also did find this P Trap looking thing in bottom of refrig. Tried to remove to flush out. But seems like the lines are glued in.
Was thinking it could be clogged. But also curious what it is for.

That is the water tank/reservoir for the chilled water.

Has a filter but should I worry about the couple of black spots in the tank. Remaove and flush out or leave it alone.
Hard to see them in the pic. But one black spot by the screw and other is bottom left

You can remove and flush it out with some bleach or such....but would need menders to reattach the tubing together...

But ( yours is inside the wall and comes out behind the cardboard cover ) the drain line you want to check is at the back bottom for the gurgling noise.
