Maytag Performa - Electric Range - Model PER4311ACW

No heat from oven element, when you turn on it displays 100 on the display as the green light flashes. Heat will not increase and no heat from element at all.

Unplugged unit and it displayed 30 quickly when we plugged it back in.

Broil works fine...Any ideas?

Hi,


No heat from oven element

Place to start is ohm testing the element...
Depending on the manufacturer of the element, you will normally read between 19 ohms and 115 ohms, with an ohm meter.
If bad, we normally -carefully- check for 220-240 volts AC across the bake element wires when set for bake....power there and no heat = bad element.
